Shay & Ben — New Owners, Same Commitment
We’re proud to introduce the new owners of Choice Windscreens — Shay and Ben. Although we’ve taken over the business, we’re committed to continuing the same high standards and customer-first approach that locals have relied on for years.
Shay was born and bred in Mackay and has never lived anywhere else. At 42 years old, she brings 28 years of professional experience in client service and business operations, ensuring every customer receives friendly, personalised care.
Ben moved to Mackay at age 18 (in 1996) and has spent his life around trades and technical work. He began in the civil industry and went on to complete a fitting apprenticeship before dedicating many years to working throughout the Bowen Basin and in Paget as a fitter — experience which has equipped him with a strong work ethic, technical skill and problem-solving know-how.
Together, Shay and Ben have been a team for 28 years, married for 22 years, and parents to two boys — Rylan (19) and Nate (16). Their deep roots in the Mackay community and lifelong commitment to quality service make them the perfect custodians of Choice Windscreens’ legacy.
